Did you know a quarter of all food safety complaints in 2023 was related to suspected food poisoning?
According to the FSAI, all complaints were followed up and investigated by food inspectors throughout the country.
In 2023, the FSAI’s Advice Line handled a total of 7,732 complaints and queries – an 8% increase from the previous year.
The majority of complaints were related to poor hygiene standards (31.9%) and unfit food (27.2%).
